Absolutely. You retain 100% of your copyrights and intellectual property at all times. Upper Music acts solely as your distribution partner to deliver your music to stores. We hold no ownership rights over your catalog. You can update, remove, or transfer your releases at any time — no questions asked.
After submission, our team reviews your release within 24–48 hours. Most major platforms like Spotify and Apple Music go live within 5–7 business days. We strongly recommend submitting at least 14 days before your desired release date to allow for playlist pitching, pre-save campaigns, and proper marketing preparation.
Royalties are collected from all platforms and paid out on a monthly basis. Payment details and thresholds are outlined in your dashboard. You can track your earnings in real time via the analytics section, and request payouts once your balance reaches the minimum threshold. We support multiple payment methods for your convenience.
Policy & Compliance
Upper Music has a strict zero-tolerance policy against artificial streaming. Using bots, click farms, stream manipulation services, or payola of any kind will result in immediate takedown of your releases, permanent freezing of any pending royalties, and a permanent ban from our platform. We comply fully with all DSP guidelines and report fraudulent activity to platform partners.
No. You must hold 100% of the rights to all audio you submit. Uploading uncleared samples, unauthorized remixes, covers without mechanical licenses, or any third-party intellectual property constitutes copyright infringement. Such releases will be rejected or removed via DMCA notice, and repeat violations will result in account termination.
Artwork must be a minimum of 3000x3000 pixels, perfectly square, in JPEG or PNG format, and must not contain external URLs, social media handles, explicit pricing, or any misleading content. Metadata — including artist names, track titles, and genre — must be accurate, professional, and must not be written to manipulate search algorithms or deceive listeners.
